Luigi Mangione, McDonald’s restaurant in Altoona, Pa. – Suspect charged UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson killed — and negative comments poured in after he visited after his arrest after the shooting. Ratings plummeted after a restaurant employee reportedly told police that Mangione was spotted in the restaurant.

A Google spokesperson told CBS News that Google had removed the comments because they violated the company’s policies. The search giant bans content that “is not based on an authentic experience and does not accurately represent the location or product in question.”

By late Tuesday morning, at least a few negative reviews appeared online that did not appear to be from actual customers.

“Saw rats running around in the kitchen!! Go away!” read one comment that seemed to allude to a McDonald’s employee reporting to police, which ultimately led law enforcement to Mangione.

“More like narcs… I hope obesity and heart disease are in the PA network. Deny, defend, abolish, diarrhea @McDonald’s…” another wrote, quoting in part a police statement inscribed on three Three words on a poster. Individual shell casings found at the scene of the shooting.

Altoona police found a handwritten note in Mangione’s backpack. After speaking with the Altoona Police Department, NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenney said the document appeared to indicate Mangione had “some ill will toward corporate America.”

Thompson’s death sparked a craze The vitriol of the insurance industrywith UnitedHealthcare customers on social media practices that attack the company and the industry as a whole.
