England rugby star Tom Voyce missing in Storm Darragh flood
PAPolice fear former England rugby international Tom Voyce may have died after he went missing in an area of ​​Northumberland that was flooded during Storm Dara.
Northumbria Police said it received a report on Sunday that the 43-year-old man had not returned home after a night out with friends.
It is suspected that Mr Voyce tried to drive his car through Aberwick Ford, near Alnwick, before the car was towed by the river.
Police have found his car but Mr Voyce remains missing.
The storm brought severe weather to the UK starting in the early hours of Saturday morning, prompting a number of flood warnings.
Voyce, from Truro, Cornwall, played for England from 2001 to 2006 before retiring from rugby in 2013.
He has lived in Alnwick since 2020.
