Sports Personality of the Year 2024: Nominees to be announced on Monday
The contenders for the 2024 BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award will be announced on Monday.
The six nominees will be announced at 07:00 GMT on the BBC Sport website and app.
This year’s awards ceremony will be held on Tuesday 17th December at MediaCityUK in Salford.
The show will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 19:00 GMT with Gabby Logan, Alex Scott and Clare Balding.
Eight prizes will be awarded, including the prestigious Major Last year’s title was won by England goalkeeper Mary Earps.
Voting for World Sports Star of the Year Award is still ongoingSimone Biles, Caitlin Clark, Catherine Debrunner, Armand Duplantis, Sifan Hassan Hassan and Leon Marchand are competing for the award.
Skateboarder Sky Brown, Para swimmer William Ellard and darts player Luke Littler Shortlisted for Young Sports Figure of the Year Award.
