Josh Adams: Wales and Cardiff wing set to return after six months out

Wales internationals Alex Mann, Seb Davies and Jacob Beetham have returned from injury during the autumn break with four players missing since April Taulupe Faletau, who has been absent since March, has returned to training and is expected to return “in the coming weeks.”

Head coach Matt Sherratt will assess eight Cardiff City players taking part in Wales’ autumn season before naming his side against the Dragons.

He said: “It’s not the physical demands of a training camp in Wales, it’s the mental fatigue. But it’s a home derby and they want to play.”

Adams understands the transition from international to regional squad and spent two weeks training with Wales as part of the final stages of his recovery.

“Win or lose, the kids still love being part of the Wales camp,” he said.

“It’s been difficult lately but no one can say they don’t care about playing for Wales. This is the pinnacle for all of us.

“They play hard every game and some of them take a lot of hits. Any game is tough, so now it’s our turn to feed off their energy.”
