Los Angeles Chargers 23-30 Baltimore Ravens: Lamar Jackson leads Ravens to victory
Quarterback Lamar Jackson led the Baltimore Ravens to a 30-23 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in the latest Harbaugh Bowl.
Jackson gave the Ravens the lead after a touchdown and then added two more field goals.
This is the third time that siblings John and Jim Harbaugh, who coach the Ravens and Chargers respectively, have faced each other in the NFL, with the former remaining undefeated.
“It’s a huge win. So proud of our guys,” John Harbaugh said.
“I just told him (Jim) you’re a great coach, you have a great team and I love you.”
In their previous two encounters, John led the Ravens to victory over Jim’s San Francisco 49ers in the 2011 regular season before shining on the big stage in the 2013 Super Bowl.
“It’s so cool that I get to be a part of history,” Jackson said of the win.
“We ended the game the right way. We started slow – we have to fix that and I’m sure we’ll get where we want to be.”
Jackson, the 2023 NFL MVP, threw for 177 yards and running back Derrick Henry ran for 140 yards to lead Baltimore’s offense.
“We’re just staying in sync, hitting the ground running, making plays and playing with what we know,” Jackson said.
“Henry gets a ball and goes for what he knows. That guy, he can’t be stopped.”
