China’s Xi Jinping and Morocco’s Crown Prince Pledge Closer Ties – Africa.com
Chinese President Xi Jinping and Moroccan Crown Prince Moulay Hassan held a brief meeting in Casablanca and reiterated their commitment to deepening China-Morocco relations. The meeting was held at Casablanca Airport after Xi Jinping’s state visit to Brazil, where Hassan and Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhanouche welcomed Xi Jinping. During the meeting, Xi Jinping emphasized that China is willing to strengthen its strategic partnership with Rabat and stressed that cooperation in various fields has been successful since King Mohammed VI visited China in 2016. China is willing to work closely with Rabat to implement the results of China-Africa cooperation. China-Arab Cooperation Forum under the framework of “One Belt, One Road”. Hassan conveyed cordial greetings from King Mohammed VI, expressed that bilateral relations have shown positive momentum, and emphasized mutual support on issues involving the core national interests of the two countries.
