Ryan Gravenberch withdraws from Netherlands squad with injury
Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch withdraws from the Dutch team to the quarterfinals of the bifoot National League due to injury.
The 22-year-old is Reds failed in Calaba Cup final Sunday in Newcastle, Wembley.
“The injury the midfielder still suffered over the weekend has prevented him from playing,” the Dutch national team said on social media.
Dutch boss Ronald Koeman chose to object to the call for replacement of Spanish fixtures, which will be held in Rotterdam on Thursday and then in Valencia on Sunday.
The injury means Gravenberch has made 41 appearances at Liverpool in all games this season, which could be the next match for the Reds – at the Merseyside Derby in Everton on April 2.
