Teslas in Las Vegas set on fire and shot with guns in “targeted attack,” police say

At least five Tesla vehicles were damaged in a “targeted attack” earlier Tuesday, with two vehicles completely engulfed in flames and other vehicles being shot by guns.

At around 2:45 a.m. local time, officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to multiple reports that Tesla vehicles caught fire at the Tesla collision center. Police found at least five Tesla cars damaged, two of which were engulfed by flames, and the word “resistance” was sprayed in capital letters and painted red on the center door.

The suspect also drove at least three wheels to the vehicle, and it is believed that the Molotov cocktail was in a fire, according to police.

Investigators are still looking for the suspect and say individuals are approaching Tesla facilities in black. The FBI’s joint terrorism task force is investigating with the Las Vegas police.
