JFK files released by Trump administration related to assassination
Washington – On Tuesday night, the Trump administration issued tens of thousands of government documents, with John F. Kennedy Jr. in 1963.
The documents were uploaded by the National Archives and Records Administration, which is responsible for collecting records related to assassination. The archives said Tuesday that “all records previously detained are classified” in the Kennedy archives are now released.

David Barrett, a professor of political science at Villanova University who studied the Kennedy presidency, told CBS News before a press conference that he expected many uncategorized modifications to reveal “people’s names, countries’ names, references to the way we collect (intelligence)” and other details that have been secretly preserved for years because of intelligence agencies.
“I don’t want shocking information about assassination or wider assassination,” Barrett said. “But, you know, you never know.”

Why did Trump release these Kennedy documents?
The declassification and release records related to the Kennedy assassination of Mr. Trump’s campaign was partly due to his relationship with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

When was Kennedy assassinated?

He was a self-proclaimed Marxist who worked with a group of Castro activists at the top of the career list and had contact with the Soviet and Cuban consuls within months before Kennedy’s death.
In October 1963, the CIA intercepted his call to the Soviet embassy in Mexico City, although the full meaning of the conversation was unclear. Some other documents related to this eavesdropping operation were released in 2022.
The long-time Kennedy Watchman hopes that documents that the government has edited or retained will reveal more information about Oswald’s activities in Mexico City and what federal agencies know about him before the shooting.
