NBA results: Steve Kerr criticises Warriors after Nuggets defeat
Coach Steve Kerr said the Golden State Warriors were “bad” as their seven-game victory run ended San Francisco’s Denver Nuggets.
Aaron Gordon scored a season-high 38 points in a 105-114 victory without star center Nikola Jokic.
It was Gordon’s highest point since joining the Orlando Magic’s Nuggets in 2021.
“We did not do well from the door and never found the rhythm, they did a great job,” Kerr said.
“The right team won. We deserve nothing. We’re terrible.”
Russell Westbrook, a three-time all-time leader in the NBA, scored 203 times with 12 points with 11 rebounds and 16 assists.
Jimmy Butler III scored 23 points, while Stephen Curry answered the Warriors 20 points and 20 times, who lost for the second time in just 14 games.
Denver remains fourth in the Western Conference, with Golden State taking the final playoff game of sixth.
Lebron James, who still has no injuries, was only behind fourth-place block ball after defeating the San Antonio Spurs 125-109.
Austin Reaves scored 30 points for the Lakers and Luka Doncic scored 21 points with nine rebounds and 14 assists.
The Houston Rockets overturned a 25-point third-quarter deficit, defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 144-137 in overtime and ranked second in the Western Conference.
Minnesota Timberwolves also need overtime to beat the Indiana Pacers 132-130, with Obi Toppin scoring 34 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists.
The New York Knicks beat the Miami Heat 116-95 to third in the East, while the Detroit Pistons ranked sixth after defeating the New Orleans Pelicans 127-81.
