Indian Wells 2025 results: Jack Draper beats Holger Rune to win first ATP Masters title
Britain’s Jack Draper won the biggest championship of his career in the Indian Wells final against Denmark’s Holger Rune.
Draper, 23, has dominated from the start as he threw away the world’s No. 13 runes with a 6-2 6-2 victory.
He lifted his first trophy – a weekend block for a landmark in the UK No. 1 in the ATP Masters competition (the first division below the four Grand Slam Championships).
After defeating Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz in Saturday’s semi-final, No. 14 Draper has secured his first-ever entry into the world’s top ten – regardless of Runes (21).
The blunt victory means the British lefties will improve to seventh in their ATP rankings on Monday.
“It’s an incredible feeling,” Draper told Sky Sports.
“I have done a lot of work over time and I’m so grateful for my health and feel good in my heart.
“It feels like it’s blending together on a big stage.”
Draper completed the job on his second attempt after a long time after his first title point, when the British caught up with the Nets’ return.
Draper celebrates in a collaborative way – smiling at his support team, then kneeling on the court and patting the surface.
And more.
