Cheltenham Festival 2025 results: Poniros is 100-1 winner for Willie Mullins
Poniros shocked a bunch of people on Cheltenham Gold Cup Day, winning 100-1 in the victory obstacle for trainer Willie Mullins.
After Jonjo O’Neill Junior’s late charge, his odds are his odds – the longest champion in race history.
Mullins is Cheltenham’s main coach, but his championship crossed the obstacle for the first time and is considered an outsider to his 11 contenders in the 18-shot opener.
Poniros won by Lulamba’s neck with blue and white runs from Brighton and Hove Albion boss Tony Bloom, and his favorite East India Dock is third.
