Appointment of the Chief Executive Officer of the National Bureau of Statistics
The Presidential Office today announced the appointment of Mr. Kevin Bistoquet, the new CEO of the Office of National Statistics.
Mr. Kevin Bistoquet holds an official Master of Science in Statistics from the University of Southampton, UK and participated in the Seychelles Executive Leadership Program in 2024 from the Mohammed bin Rashid Government College of the United Arab Emirates. His experience in statistics spans 10 years.
Mr. Bistoquet began his career in 2010 as a math teacher at the middle school level. In 2013, he joined the Seychelles Bureau of the National Bureau of Statistics in 2016, and as a statistician, he was promoted to the position of senior statistician and in 2018 he was promoted to the position of principal statistician. In 2023, Mr. Bistoquet joined the Statistics Centre in Abu Dhabi as an expert in statistical portfolio planning.
Prior to being appointed CEO of the National Bureau of Statistics, Mr. Bistoquet was the outgoing CEO of the study. His appointment will take effect on March 1, 2025.
