Ayra Starr and Richard Mofe-Damijo Join ‘Children of Blood and Bone’ Cast
Afrobeats star Ayra Starr and experienced Nollywood actor Richard Moff Damiyo (RMD) join the cast of the upcoming film adaptation Tomi Adeyemi’s best-selling fantasy novel Blood and Bone Children. The cast also includes Pamilerin Ayodeji, Shamz Garuba and WNBA player Temi Fagbenle. South African actress Soo Mbedu will star in the lead role Zélie, accompanying Tosin Cole, Amandla Stenberg, Damson Idris and Chiwetel Ejiofor to play key roles. The ensemble also features Viola Davis, Idris Elba, Cynthia Erivo, Lashana Lynch and Regina King. Directed by Gina Prince Bythewood, the film will be released in 2027 for a tentative release, which the director calls it a celebration of the magic of African diaspora.
