Oliver Glasner: Crystal Palace open new contract talks with manager
Crystal Palace has held talks with manager Oliver Glasner about extending his contract at the club.
It is understood that the negotiations are in an early stage, and the Austrians’ current deal continues until the end of next season.
Glasner recently celebrated the first anniversary of his responsible palace, who are currently ranked 11th in the Premier League and have reached the FA Cup quarterfinals this season, facing Fulham on March 29, and the final eight games of the Calabar Cup.
Last season, he attracted the interest of Bayern Munich as the Palace’s campaign was impressive, winning six of their last seven league games to end the first half at the table.
The Hawks are good again, winning 10 of the last 13 games in all games and losing only once.
So far, only Liverpool (25) has won Premier League points over Palace (19).
Early negotiations began with the club’s hierarchy about plans for next season, and they hope to capitalize on the progress of the 50-year-old Glasner, who joined the game during his two-year charge of Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Palace is currently taking a mid-season break for Marbella before heading back to Craven Cottage to face Fulham at the end of this month with his FA Cup tie.
