Surveillance video of Pitt student missing in Dominican Republic may show last images before she disappeared
New surveillance video has surfaced, showing the last image believed to be Sudiksha Konanki, Pete student who disappeared while on vacation in the Dominican Republic.
The video was obtained by Dominican media Noticias Sin and appears to be shown to Konanki while she was on the beach in Punta Cana with her friends and two men.
20-year-old Konanki travels with friends on spring break In the Dominican tourist town, it was reportedly missing later that day.
Authorities are searching for any signs of Konanki by land and on water.
More than 300 people have participated in the search for her, and the Dominican Republic National Police has formed the so-called new “high-level committee” to oversee the Konanki case.
The survey also includes Loudon County Sheriff’s Office in his hometown of Cornange, Virginiainternational contacts for the U.S. Attorney General’s Office, the FBI and the U.S. Embassy.
The Sheriff’s Office acknowledged there was “a lot of public speculation” about what happened to Conkey, but warned not to draw any conclusions.
“Everyone is working hard right now. There are a lot of people involved, so we want to make sure we’re going to make sure that before any information comes up, we’re going to make it completely right.”
Sudiksha Konanki’s bad measures are investigated as accident
Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader said on Monday night that authorities are investigating the case as an accident.

“We are worried,” Abinard said at a weekly meeting with the press on Monday. “All government agencies are searching… because the latest information we get from one of them, from the last person with the young woman, according to reports, what he said is that on the beach, a wave fell into the beach.”
