Don’t Forget to Claim Your Part of the $20 Million Apple Watch Payout

If you have an Apple Watch, you may be eligible for your spending. Apple agreed to a $20 million settlement after facing a class action lawsuit, and if your device is affected, you must file a claim by April 10 to secure your shares.

Apple objected to the claim in a statement sent to CNET, noting that the Apple Watch was “designed to be safe and reliable.”

“This settlement applies to buyers of the original Apple Watch, Series 1, Series 2 and Series 3 and is no longer available for purchase,” the company said in a statement. “While we strongly disagree with the claims against these early generation Apple Watch models, we agree to settle down to avoid further litigation.”

Check if you are eligible for Apple Watch payments

To get paid you must have the original, Series 1, Series 2 and/or Series 3 Apple Watch models in the United States, and you must also report issues related to battery swelling, such as filing a complaint to customer service between April 24, 2015 and February 6, 2024.

How much will you get?

The amount you receive will vary depending on several factors. Compensation may range from $20 to $50, depending on the number of claims filed.

According to some qualified individuals, they will be notified via email or postcard to inform them that they are eligible for class payments WatchSettlement.com.

How do you file a claim?

If you are looking for expenditure, you must pass Settlement website on April 10, 2025.

After visiting the settlement website, you will find the QR code. Scan it with the app or built-in camera options. You can then choose how you want to get a payment method: physical check, electronic check, ACH transfer or virtual prepaid visa or Mastercard.

If you are not notified but still believe you are eligible, you can file a claim via email.

By accepting settlement payments, you can waive your right to take further legal action against Apple on battery issues.
