Eto’o Cleared to Run in CAF Executive Committee Vote
Cameroonian football legend Samuel Eto’o won a call for elections to the executive committee of the African Football Federation (CAF) after it was initially ruled by the organized governance committee. The Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) overturned the CAF’s earlier ruling and stated that it must be restored to a candidate before the March 12 general election. When CAF excluded Eto’o in January, it provided no reason to decide. However, the organization, along with football’s top FIFA, had previously suspended him for suspected illegal and moral violations. Despite being a great football player, Eto’o has proven a split character since entering sports management. He is currently the president of the Cameroon Football Federation.
