Omi Collective Debuts Innovative African Design at Stockholm Furniture Fair
Lagos-based design studio OMI collectively attracted international attention at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2025 and introduced the Omi Series 2 stool. This hexapody wood combines modern functionality with African design principles to provide adaptability by converting from a single stool to three separate seats. Created by Olorunfemi Adewuyi, the design draws inspiration from West African granary ladders and Indigo textile traditions, celebrating public values and cultural heritage. The OMI Series 2 stool represents a unique blend of African culture and contemporary design that impresses people at global events.
