Murder arrest after woman dies
A man was arrested on suspicion of murder and a woman was shot dead in South Wales.
South Wales police said police were asked to report on the Green Park Green shooting in Rhondda Cynon Taf on Sunday around 18:10 GMT.
The force confirmed that a 40-year-old woman was seriously injured and died at the scene.
A 42-year-old man from Talbot Green was arrested on suspicion of murder and was detained by police.
As the inquiry continues, many crime scenes have been established in the area.
When officials gather evidence, closed circuits remain.
“I know this will lead to the local community, and I want to assure people that a team of experienced detectives are already working at Pace and putting together last night’s event,” said James Morris.
Residents of the town said emergency services responded a lot, with police cars illuminating at blue light.
A police helicopter arrived at Talbot Green-Talbot Green on Sunday at 18:30 and bypassed the area before returning to the base in St. Anan.
Residents expressed shock at the social media incident.
Local Councilman Sarah Jane Davies said recent events in the area have attracted “community’s attention and alertness.”
