AI Upgrades to Motorola’s Smart Connect at MWC Make It More Essential Than Ever

So far, Smart Connect allows cross-device integration between selected Motorola and Lenovo products, the same as Apple makes it transfer tasks, applications, and files between devices in its own ecosystem. But Motorola announced at MWC that it is turning on Smart Connect for use on all Windows 10 and 11 PCs, and it also offers more integrations for others Android devicescreates an easy and seamless way for you to cast, share and search on your phone, tablet and PC.
It’s easier than ever to put your phone screen on your laptop.
The beauty of Smart Connect has enabled you to refresh your activities on your Motorola phones – for example watching Tiktok videos – transfer them to your Lenovo laptop and continue watching (although they do have to be on the same Wi-Fi network). You can now do this via voice or text commands, telling you the activity or document you want to transfer and transfer from your phone receipt (e.g., the activity you send it to my laptop) in natural language, and follow immediately.
This is one of the ways in which the updated Smart Connect harnesses the power of AI in a truly useful way. In the demo, I also witnessed how to use voice commands to search for documents on different devices that contain a restaurant list but don’t actually contain the word “restaurant”. Using context clues, AI knows that the document on the tablet is actually full of restaurant suggestions and can view it on your phone or PC.
Another new feature in Smart Connect is the Device Management Dashboard, which allows you to see all devices in one place to allow easy management. This and other latest features will be downloaded in the next few weeks by downloading Smart Connect from the Microsoft or Google Play Store.
