Liverpool woman admits killing baby found in Warrington woodland
A woman pleaded guilty for a decrease in the responsibility for a child found in a woodland near a theme park a quarter of a century ago.
Joanne Sharkey, 54, denied murdering her child, whose body was found on March 14, 1998 near Gulliver World Theme Park in Warrington, Cheshire.
She also pleaded guilty at Liverpool Crown Court in an effort to cover up the birth of the child.
Sharkey will be sentenced on March 21.
