Rangers: ‘Frustrated & with heavy heart’ – Philippe Clement on Ibrox exit

Clement led the Rangers to a victory against Aberdeen in the 2023 League Cup final, but Rangers finished second in the Premier League and Scottish Cup last season.

In the December League Cup final, the Celtics defeated their city rivals with free throws, which was a disappointment.

Brendan Rodgers’ side has also expanded its lead at the top of the Premier League to 16 points since Clement’s departure.

However, the outstanding victory in the Europa League won the last 16 meetings with Fenerbahce, whose first leg was held on Thursday (GMT 17:45) and will be the third game under the charge of interim head coach Barry Ferguson.

“We work enthusiastically day and night and despite the challenges we face, I will never forget many of the wonderful moments we spent together,” Clement said.

“The energy of your unwavering supporters and fans makes those eras really unique. In that moment, it feels like a big family.

“Therefore, the wanderer will always have a special place in my heart.”
