Hands on: Jabra PanaCast 50 review

Jabra’s panacast 50 video bar ensures no one feels missing 4K camera The turret presents a full 180° horizontal field of view (FOV). More importantly, lurking within this 650mm wide cylinder is an array of 8-melt beams combined with a 50mm woofer and a 20mm tweeter.
Speaker tracking is also a cut for the rest, as the Panacast 50 contains no less than nine edge processors, including two edge AI chips. These allow it to provide points video Analytics, apply always-on human computing and use Jabra’s virtual director technology to focus on active speakers and use its automatic 6x digital zoom to zero on it.
The camera provides a USB-C port for BYOD meetings or connecting to a permanent room computer. Jabra also offers a two-room system solution, one of which matches its Android-style touch screen with the camera pill The other is LenovoThey think of Mart Core + Controller devices.
The kit includes a wall-mounted stand with an optional aluminum table for £63. We also looked at Jabra’s Bluetooth remote pad (£39), which offers camera and audio controls as well as direct access to whiteboard sharing.
We checked the model with a grey fabric cover, but Jabra also offers a black version for the same price. No matter which model you choose, you will find Integral Wi-Fi 5 service as well as 10/100 Ethernet Remote management using Jabra’s Free Xpress Web Portal port.
BYOD installation is easy: you simply connect the camera to a USB port on your Windows or MacOS host computer and wait for the driver to load. It will be used happily with any UVC compliant VC application, but don’t forget to download Jabra’s direct application or you’ll miss out on many features.
The app’s Camera Controller window allows you to play image quality, set zoom levels, move camera views, and save two presets that can be accessed from the remote. In the General Settings tab, you can control the person count, enable the virtual director and turn on the new dynamic composition feature, which places the four latest speakers in the split screen.
A big Monitor The highest resolution is recommended to use is very wide 3,840 x 1,080 pixels. Panacast’s army of Edge CPUs are here to work with Jabra’s patented video bonding technology, generating a single image from three camera feeds.
This is perfect as we can’t see any connections and the camera provides needle-like images with excellent color balance and contrast. Speaker tracking is also very sensitive: we can walk around the conference room, even without talking, the camera follows us as we move.
Jabra’s microphone Expertise can be passed. Remote participants could clearly hear us within five meters of distance, and the four-speaker combination was just as impressive. Jabra won’t beat Biamp’s 2023 award of excellence Parle VBC 2500, as the Panacast 50 lacks a little in the bass department, but it offers clear and clear sound quality with a volume level of 65%, enough to meet our 24 million2Conference room.
Remote monitoring and management are good, and the Xpress portal provides analysis in terms of camera and room use. Packages bring together camera settings and when you install a local Jabra Direct application, just copy the package URL to it.
You can remotely apply override the settings of the local application. During room creation, you add the device serial number and apply the maximum and secure participants capacity. The camera uses its staff counting skills to provide room usage details and warns you that the room is too high in capacity.
This stylish cylinder offers excellent video and audio quality, fast speaker tracking, and plenty of advanced features. Jabra’s Xpress Web Portal offers smart remote management services, and the superview helps make the Panacast 50 suitable for all-inclusive meetings.
