MWC 2025: Anker Solix’s Jacket Charges Your Phone With Solar Energy
Imagine that your jacket not only protects you from the winds—Imagine that it can also help power your electronics. And make you look like a Jedi.

What Anker Solix calls the cape is covered with about twenty sewn solar cells made of Perovskite, a mineral that helps cells feel more like fabric and flexibility. A blue LED stripe gives the jacket the look of a web Jedi.
The blue light lines with the hood give people a cooler and more futuristic feel. I think it’s also helpful if you’re out at night and want to make yourself visible to be safe.
The cape resembles a raincoat with a smooth surface, lightweight feel and zipper. The solar cell wears it and feels like a large iron-faced patch, and thankfully the triangle shape on the right arm and shoulder is smaller, triangle shape to make it easier to bend the elbows and otherwise move. The panels on the front and back of the left are rectangular.
The sun jacket is still just a concept, so it is not clear whether or when will you see the light of the day. Anker Solix has been looking for other unique ways to charge devices and gadgets.
