Elections of Area Administrators and Managing Directors
From 12 to 17 February, elections for regional managers, boards and rural coordinators were conducted in five administrative districts in the Masawa sub-district.
The large number of participation in the elections led to the election of 10 regional managers and board directors, including five women and 22 rural coordinators.
In related news, similar elections were conducted in the Elaberet sub-region to replace outgoing district administrators, board directors and rural coordinators who have completed their three-year term.
Ms. Asha Alinor, Elaberet Sub-region Administrator, stressed that awareness-raising activities carried out before the election played a vital role in ensuring a smooth and successful election process. She also urged newly elected officials to serve the community with dedication and integrity.
In turn, newly elected officials expressed their commitment to work hard to fulfill their responsibilities and to uphold the community’s trust in them.
