Some of Thursday’s front pages featured the funeral of One Direction star Liam Payne. The Mirror’s headline read “Goodbye Liam” alongside a picture of his former bandmate and ex-partner Cheryl.
Metro chose the same title. Payne died on October 16 after falling from a third-floor hotel room in Buenos Aires, the Argentine capital.
The Sun headlined “All For One” and featured photos of Cheryl, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik.
i means “Britain defies Putin as Ukraine fires British missiles at Russia”. Downing Street has not confirmed the reports, but Defense Secretary John Healey said Ukraine’s actions “speak for themselves”.
“Daily Mail” stated that this is the first time that British weapons have been used on Russian soil since 1919.
The Financial Times was also the first to report that Ukraine had launched a British-supplied missile against a target in Russia for the first time. It also reported how Ford plans to cut 4,000 jobs in Europe to combat falling demand for electric vehicles.

The Daily Telegraph first reported that the army would suffer cuts worth £500m. Writing in the newspaper, former defense secretary Ben Wallace warned that spending cuts would send a message to adversaries that Britain’s defenses were weakening.
