Katie Taylor: Croke Park unlikely to stage Irishwoman’s next fight with Amanda Serrano – Eddie Hearn
Hearn had previously said the Crocker Park and Las Vegas game would “tick Katie Taylor’s box list.”
“Hopefully we can hit one of the boxes next, but even at this point, I think Katie admits we might be approaching the last chapter.
“She offers everything for the sport. She is one of the greatest individuals and greatest athletes, not just the world Ireland has ever seen, but the world has ever seen.
“I’m very determined to make sure we can achieve all her dreams before she gets away from the sport.”
Hearn spoke at the SSE Arena Saturday night, with Lewis Crocker of Belfast speaking in the headlines with Paddy Donovan of Limerick.
Asked about Belfast’s rich boxing history, Hearn added: “The atmosphere here is very special.”
“If your average show sells average tickets, but people here will know their boxing and when there are big events, they will come, just like tomorrow night.
“It’s a battle of all love, and the winner continues to compete for the world championship for the middleweight division, which has many names like Ryan Garcia, Devin Haney, Teofimo Lopez and Jaron Ennis, so this is the golden vote for those who can win tomorrow.”
