Proflight Zambia Increases Flight Frequency As Safari Season
The increased frequency on the Livingstone-Lusaka route, and the comprehensive schedule of key safari destinations provides connectivity for South African travelers.
Lusaka, Zambia – Zambia Proflight announced a significant increase in its domestic schedule, with the frequency of its Livingstone and Lusaka routes from twice a day to twice a day as the safari season begins, taking effect.
Livingstone – Lusaka frequency increases
Safari timeline features:
- One afternoon service left Livingstone at 12:20 and arrived in Lusaka at about 13:30. The flight from Lusaka to Livingstone will be headed to 11:45 at 10:35.
- The evening service left Livingstone at 18:20 and arrived in Lusaka around 19:30. The flight from Lusaka to Livingstone will be headed to 17:45 at 16:35.
This enhancement is particularly important because it promotes seamless connectivity for travelers to Dalivenstone through direct service and those connected through Johannesburg.
The increased frequency reduces transportation time and is consistent with the peak flow of Victoria Falls to ensure passengers have the greatest time to experience the miracles of nature and their associated adventures – including Mosi-Oa- Whitewater rafting, helicopter tours and wildlife tours in Tunya.
Safari season flight schedule

Livingstone – MFUWE
- Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday (via Lusaka) flights return on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Mfuwe is the gateway to South Luangwa, known as the birthplace of the walking safari. The schedule is tailored to best use of sunlight in game drives and walking safaris, providing travelers with an excellent opportunity to encounter leopards, elephants and endemic species such as Thornicroft’s Giraffe.
