Laia Codina: Spain players ‘stronger’ from battles on & off pitch
Cordina said she hopes it’s over now and people will talk about what Spanish players have achieved in football.
After becoming the world champion in 2023, Spain continues to win next year’s Women’s National League, and they are currently preparing for the 2025 European Cup.
“I just hope everything goes well now and we’ll talk about football at the end,” she said.
“We’re talking about this team that was once a World Cup champion, National League champion. We want to talk about football because that’s why we’re here.
“It’s our job, and it’s going to be better for us and everyone in women’s football. I hope – for Spain and society.
“They have to see us as footballers – as women’s footballers – they have to feel proud of us.
