Women’s Nations League: Northern Ireland boss Oxtoby wary of Bosnia-Herzegovina threat in Inver game

Northern Ireland manager Tanya Oxtoby said she expected a tough test against Bosnia-Herzegovina in the National League encounter at Inver Park on Tuesday night.

Bosnia-Herzegovina defeated Romania’s League Group B 1 campaign 4-0 on Friday.

Northern Ireland began 2-0 Loss Poland in Gedank.

“It’s really impressive to win 4-0 – it’s going to be tough and we have to assert ourselves from the beginning,” Oxtoby said.

“We’re really looking forward to this game. We’re at home and we want to start positively.”

Last year, it was a meeting of familiar enemies, with Northern Ireland defeating Bosnia-Herzegovina in the 2025 European Cup qualifiers.

“We need to play in the game – they caused us trouble in the last two games we played.

“We know what will happen, but we need to raise and maintain the height. This is the challenge for the group.”
