Champions Trophy 2025: England’s Brydon Carse set to miss Afghanistan match with toe injury

If England does manage to navigate from Group B, then they will likely face India in Dubai and Spin plays a key role.

Carse was selected as the champion trophy for the championship trophy despite being released earlier this month.

The injury requires stitches, which were removed shortly before the game started.

“We will have to wait and see,” England beat Joe Root told the BBC in Lahore.

“Until the game, there’s a great way to find out exactly what Cashy is going on. We’ll see how things will happen in the next few days.”

Carse is impressed with England after his test debut against Pakistan in October.

He has a £100,000 contract to play in Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League which begins next month.
