FPL gameweek 27 tips and best team: Captain Cole Palmer or Mohamed Salah?
Bryan Mbeumo, Brentford, £8m – Everton (H)
What am I thinking, Mbeumo was excluded from this week’s team last time with 14 points at Leicester?
Now he’s only 11 points behind Palmer this season, and this week’s game against Everton could turn into another big liar, with David Moyes’ visitors in the last three games Two 2-2 involvements in the game.
Mohamed Salah (Vice Captain), Liverpool, £13.7m – Newcastle (H)
After a week of rest, Salah returned to the week, but there was no captain’s armband for the Egyptians.
Why? Well, that’s a little risky, but Newcastle has the potential to make things tense, and there’s too much room for upside in Palmer v. Southampton.
If you have both and are a more risky player, then maybe just stick with Salah.
Cole Palmer (Captain), Chelsea, £11.1m – Southampton (H)
In FPL, you either play tables or fixtures, so both.
Palmer is definitely a fixed option as captain this week, as he has only one assist in his last five games and looks like he hasn’t.
But this is a guy with eight double figures this season and the only player with the same explosiveness as Salah.
Last week, the Saints’ four at home – Chelsea can certainly get three or four here, and if they do, Palmer will be involved in some of the goals.
Pedro Neto, Chelsea, £6.2m – Southampton (H)
Neto is Chelsea’s most impressive offensive player in the Aston Villa failure, and you have to think Enzo Maresca will start again.
Neto had a stop season, but he passed the ophthalmology test on Saturday and unfortunately didn’t score.
Jarrod Bowen, West Ham, £7.3m – Leicester (H)
West Ham’s amulet against struggling Leicester is an easy choice.
Bowen has had two of three games since returning from injury and has been involved in more than half of West Ham’s goals this season.
