Mikaela Shiffrin claims historic 100th skiing World Cup win
Mikaela Shiffrin won the historic 100-time Alpine Ski World Cup title on Sunday, winning the rushback of the victory in Sestriere, Italy.
The American returned to the operation in January two months after his injury, leading by 0.61 seconds in the second second of the Croatian Zrinka Ljutic.
The victory means the 29-year-old is the first skier to win a triple-digit skier in a World Cup victory.
An emotional shiffrin said after winning: “Today, a lot of things are right for me and wrong for others.
“In the end, I did the right thing.”
