Between 2014 and 2018, Lionel Messi, Javier Mascherano, Sergio Busquets, Louis Suarey Luis Suarez and Jordi Alba both play for Barcelona.
Now they are all working in Miami.
This will be the second full season for the club, Messi, one of the greats in football history, joined the game in the mid-2023 season.
He is the club’s “all-time” top scorer, but he has only 34 goals – although they only started playing in 2020.
Mascherano, who last managed the Argentina Olympics team, was in charge during the offseason, replacing Gerardo Martino, the 2013-14 Barcelona boss.
Last season, Suarez scored 25 goals and Messi played an injured sport, playing only 25 times and 23 goals.
The club has been controversial at the Club World Cup this summer after the regular season ended.
But the MLS champion is actually the team that won the playoffs – Miami in the first round.
Can Mascherano help their stars win their first MLS title? They will have to do things in the CONCACAF Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup and League Cup.
