Beterbiev vs Bivol: Late replacement Martin Bakole misses weigh-in as he travels to Saudi Arabia

Briton Hamzah Sheeraz (11st 5lb) and WBC middleweight champion Carlos Adames (11st 4lb) compete for their world title.

Wiry Sheeraz, 25, is 2 inches tall and towers over his 30-year-old rival.

Dominican Adames cut a confident figure, however, and refuted the competitor’s physical advantage.

“The coconuts are tall and we can still fall them down, so I’ll do the same with him,” Adames said.

Earlier, part-time electrician Josh Padley also accepted a late call, hitting against WBC lightweight world champion Shakur Stevenson in just a few days of notification – He promised that he would seize the opportunity with both hands.

Doncaster’s Padley and Stevenson, the United States, weigh under the 9-pound limit.

British opponents Callum Smith (12st 7lb) and Joshua Buatsi (12st 6lb) will hope to push them against Batebiff-Bee Beterbiev-Bivol’s requirement to win the lightweight title.

“(Buatsi) is a good fighter, but I keep saying I’m better,” said Smith, 34, a super middleweight world champion.
