Dan Sheehan: Ireland captaincy ‘massive honour’ for hooker
Leinster Hooker said while it was a proud day for Sheehan, his only focus was to help Ireland win in Cardiff.
They beat England and Scotland in the opening six-country match, a favorite to beat Wales, which will be led by Cardiff owner Matt Sherratt as Warren Gatland left his role as head coach.
“That’s my only idea to get the show,” Sheehan added.
“We have been doing well over the last two weeks, but there is no best option for our patches in the game.
“We do need some areas to get 80 minutes of performance, so that’s one of the things we’re talking about.
“Everyone’s eyes were in Wales, and there was no word talking about any other game. It was huge for us and it was a great stadium.”
