Ruben Amorim: Man Utd boss says ‘my job is so hard’ after Tottenham loss
Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim said his job was “so hard” after Tottenham Hotspur’s defeat and left his 15th place in the Premier League.
The Portuguese coach oversees James Maddison’s 13th minute goal in 12 league games, losing in 12 league games Give the Spurs a victory.
The Red Devils struggled again, although Amorim had to fight against the 12-man injured roster, which forced him to fill the bench with the young man.
Amorim, 40, has offered many honest post-match press conferences since joining United and has appeared again in trademark form on Sunday.
“I have a lot of questions,” he told Sky Sports. “My job is very hard, but I am here to continue my work with my faith, to continue my work and I will win again.”
Although he was behind him for more than 70 minutes, Amorim didn’t meet 17-year-old Chido obi until the first minute of the stop time.
The forward was one of eight teenagers on the bench, and Amorim suggested after the game that he didn’t send more games during the game because he didn’t want to hinder their development.
“This is the toughest game in the world,” he told BBC Sport.
“I tried to be careful with them. I felt the team was pushing for the goal, and I felt like I didn’t want to change. But they would play.
“I’m here to help my players. I understand my situation, work, I have confidence in my work, I just want to win games.
“The place on the table is my worry, I don’t worry about me.”
