Grant Fisher: American breaks 5,000m and 3,000m indoor world records in space of six days
American Grant Fisher broke his second world indoor record in six days and created a new mark on Friday’s 5,000m.
The 27-year-old starred at the David Hemery Valentine’s Day Invitational at Boston University, setting it in 2004 with Kenenisa Bekele of Ethiopia’s Kenenisa Bekele 12:49.60.
He knew very well that France’s Jimmy Gressier, who finished the match with a new European indoor standard of 12:54.92.
