Global Energy Leaders Converge In Lagos To Chart West Africa’s Clean Energy Future

Global and regional energy leaders and stakeholders will converge in Lagos to open the way in the West African clean energy transition direction of the 6th West African LPG Expo in 2025.

The flagship event will be held from 3-4 March 2025 at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos, Victoria Island, cementing its reputation as the foremost platform to advance liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as a transformative energy solutions.

Building on the success of the past two events, attracting more than 3,000 industry professionals and more than 80 senior speakers, this year’s Sixth West Africa 2025 6th lpg Expo will be the largest.

It will host the region’s largest international LPG exhibition, including innovations from over 100 local and international exhibitors.

The event will further include influential industry conferences, which include over 50 expert speakers from governments, global investors, consultants and major LPG participants in the region, while providing industrial network opportunities.

With the support of the Nigeria Liquefied and Compressed Gas Association (NLCGA), the Nigerian Natural Gas Association and the World Liquid Gas Association, the exhibition is open to all energy professionals, stakeholders and clean energy advocates.

Organizers noted that highlighted Nigeria’s leadership role in the clean energy transition:

“As Africa’s second largest LPG producer, Nigeria is at the forefront of integrating LPG into its energy framework. Through Nigeria’s energy transition plan, the goal of net zero emissions by 2060 is already on LPG infrastructure There have been substantial investments on the market, enhancing production, reducing imports and expanding access.

Neighbors such as Ghana, Senegal and Ivory Coast are also using LPG to meet Africa’s 2030 clean cooking goals and reduce biomass dependence, organizers noted.

Running with the LPG Expo, the second CNG Africa-Nigeria will highlight the Nigerian Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PI-CNG) in 2025, aiming to increase the number of natural gas vehicles (NGVs) to 1 million by 2026.

The program demonstrates economic, environmental and energy independence with the adoption of compressed natural gas (CNG).
