Australia spinner Matthew Kuhnemann reported for suspected illegal bowling action
Australian spinner Matthew Kuhnemann is reportedly suspected of illegal bowling.
The 28-year-old is Australia’s leading ticket inspector 2-0 Test Series Wins in Sri Lanka But it was reported after Galle’s second test.
Kuhnemann will now assess his legitimacy and, if considered illegal, will the left be suspended from bowling until his actions are modified and passed further evaluation.
Cricket Australia said in a statement released today: āAfter the second test against Sri Lanka, the Australian team was informed of the recommendations of the match officials and will support Matt in the process of clearing the matter.ā
āThis is the first time in eight years that professional cricket has been questioned.
āCricket Australia will be in close contact with the ICC (International Cricket Commission) and independent experts who are consistent with ICC regulations.ā
Kuhnemann is free to continue bowling in Tasmania’s domestic cricket bowling game, but bowling is not allowed at international level until his action is cleared.
