Australian seam Mitchell Starc opted out of the championship trophy.

“His loss is certainly a blow to the championship trophy sports, but it does provide others with the opportunity to make their mark in the game.”
Steve Smith was appointed captain of Travis Head in the absence of Cummins.
The championship trophy will begin on February 19, with Australia’s first match against England on February 22.
