F1: McLaren extend Peter Prodromou contract
McLaren expands contract to its technical director Aerodynamics Peter Prodromou, the team’s main architects revived over the past two seasons one.
The 56-year-old was appointed to his role in March 2023 as part of a senior technical leader under team principal Andrea Stella.
Instead of revealing the length of the former Romo’s new contract, McLaren described it as a “multiple extension.”

Prodromou was eliminated under the previous leadership structure, but Stella identified its expertise as a key element to success.
The team started the 2023 season behind the grid, but Last year ended with the builder’s championship They won the championship for the first time since 1998.
“The cultural, organizational and technical leadership that Peter brings is priceless, and he has been the leading architect of the team’s performance turnaround, on and on the track,” Stella said.

Prodromou began his F1 career at McLaren in 1991, before joining Red Bull in 2006 to work with CTO Adrian Newey.
In 2010-14, he played four consecutive doubles with Sebastian Vettel, and he was the lead designer for Newey before rejoining McLaren.
Prodromou has been brought in by former technical director James Key before McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown appointed Stella as team principal in December 2022. Subsequent items.
