ScorePlay’s technology is used by more than 200 sports organizations around the world and helps teams simplify their highlights and editing using AI. The company’s clients include NBA and NHL franchises as well as leagues such as Major League Baseball and National Women’s Football League.
Ohanian told CNBC that he is not only an investor, but also using technology through his ownership of NWSL football and TGL golf teams, in addition to his new track and field league Athlos.
“A lot of people are asking how we have achieved such a huge success in so many emerging sports in so many different leagues, and that’s one reason.” “In the past two years, they have just continued to execute beyond expectations, and Score Games just did so many jobs in a job in the United States.
He added: “I’ve been happy to have put millions of dollars in work every round now.”
Venture capitalist Stebbings said the tool will enable them to attract fans in new ways as teams and players move towards producing more of their own media and storytelling content.
“Speed is crucial in sports media, being able to share highlights in an hour and keep up with the fast-paced news cycle,” he said.
ScorePlay’s services are created by Victorien Tixier and Xavier Green, automatically tagging and organizing content, allowing teams to speed up delivery from everyone from broadcasters and sponsors to the athletes themselves.
“The idea is to maximize distribution on your own social channels, and also distribute content to your athletes, who are the best storytellers you can tell,” Tixier said.
He added that through many different channels, from social to broadcast and digital, users must distribute the best content for each platform.
ScorePlay touted a triple year-on-year growth, which the company said was profitable, with a total funding of $20 million.
