One person was killed after a business jet hit another plane after landing on Monday and at least three people were injured in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The Federal Aviation Administration said that an official Mötley Crüe said in a press conference.
An airport spokesman said Neil’s jet’s left main gear failed at landing. The singer’s spokesman said the two pilots and two passengers were on the plane departing from Austin, Texas, but Neil was not on the boat.
Captain Dave Folio of the Scottsdale Fire Department said there were five people on the plane. One passenger was pronounced dead on arrival and three others were taken to a local hospital.
The portfolio says first responders are still working to get the remaining victims out of the wreckage. The National Transportation Safety Commission will take over the investigation.
The Phoenix Open of the PGA Tour takes place on the weekend in Scottsdale. It is usually one of the busiest times of the year at an airport.
According to its website, the airport does not have commercial flights or airline services, but it is home to many corporate aircraft in the area.
