For heavy-duty batteries like this, the Anker laptop power library does a great job of staying slim, although it will be as heavy as you would expect. It’s also thick, so it’ll definitely be better than storing in your pocket.
The Anker laptop power library is well built, with a firm feel for every material and panel. The screen has almost no flex, so I’m confident that it has normal wear and tear.
This display provides a variety of readings, including temperature and wattage readings for each of the four outputs, which is more than some functions The best power bank supply. Unfortunately, however, it only covers a small area – smaller than the physical size of the screen, which seems to me a missed opportunity.
As a result, some numbers look small. For example, this can lead to misreading when fees are charged to the bank itself. Since it reaches two decimal points for the battery percentage, 10% of the battery percentage looks like 100% when you browse it from a distance.
It has a USB-C and a USB-A port located on the side. This seems like a weird location, but Anker laptop power bank has an ace on the sleeve – actually two.
This is because it comes with two built-in cables. One loops into its own clip, forming a temporary carry handle (Anker’s control; it can withstand over 20,000 bends), while the other telescopic, with the jack end connected to the base to keep it hidden. This minimizes cable chaos and saves you your own trouble.
Both cables feel very durable and dense, as is the strain relief of the jack itself. However, they are flat and rectangular rather than circular, which means they tend to distort themselves when you use them, but I find it a small inconvenience.
Anker laptop power bank charges very well. All three USB-C outputs up to 100W, and Anker claims the M3 MacBook Pro or iPhone 16 can charge 50% in about half an hour. The display can also track the output power in real time when charging.
I’ve managed to charge Lenovo The IdeaPad 4G is an admirable performance in about two hours. But, more impressively, the battery is only down to about 50%, which means you may only get the full cost from it twice – and replenish its battery from 0% to 100% for 90 minutes.
The Anker laptop power library can also charge four devices at the same time, with a maximum power output of 130W. For devices that only require low current, such as smartwatches and earbuds, there is also a trick-flow charging mode.
Given its power, versatility and convenience, Anker laptop power bank represents good value for $99/£89. If you are a power user traveling with large equipment, you may not be disappointed with Anker laptop power bank as your companion.
