President Ramaphosa mourns the passing of President Sam Nujoma of the Republic of Namibia
On behalf of the Government and the people of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa expressed deep condolences to the Government and people of the Republic of Namibia, His founding of President His Excellency Sam Shafiishuna Nujoma ) Dr. ) died at the age of 95.
President Ramaphosa told the first lady of the Republic of Namibia, her magistrate Kovambo Nujoma and the wider Nujoma and Kondombolo families pity.

“Dr. Sam Nujoma is an extraordinary freedom fighter who distributes his revolutionary plan between Namibia’s struggle against colonialism in South Africa and the struggle for South Africa’s emancipation from apartheid.
“In exile and indigenous, he led the Owambo People’s Organization, the Southwest African People’s Organization, and the Namibian People’s Liberation Army, the seemingly unshakable forces of the authorities and forces against colonization and apartheid.
“Sam Nujoma inspired the pride and resistance of the Namibian people, obscuring the size of the population.
“In 1990, Namibia gained South Africa’s independence in 1990, which inspires in us the necessity of our own liberation.
“President Nuyoma’s free leadership over Namibia has laid the foundation for the solidarity and partnership shared by both of our countries – we will continue to deepen our partnership as neighbors and friends.
“We thank Dr. Sam Nujoma for his blessing for extending his life, and we thank him for the way he will serve his country for decades throughout his life.
“May his soul rest in peace and our neighbors find healing in his legacy.”
