Grayson told him: “I’ve seen him a little bit, and that’s what he is.” BBC’s Rugby League Weekly Podcast.
“He is a good organizer, he is measured and most of the time he calls the right decision.
“His open kicking needs work. He kicked some shocking people today.
“But that doesn’t define him. He grows up in the game, the longer he’s on the court.”
In the fall, England is entering the final stages against Australia and New Zealand but failed to finish two matches.
Steve Borthwick led 10-5 in the first half against Ireland in the opening Six Nations game, but stood out in the final quarter.
Former England Brawl and World Cup champion Matt Dawson believes Fin Smith’s way of grabbing the game in the final quarter has made him “more people” on 10-piece shirts.
He added: “Watching other players on the field (after the game), I see more senior players pretending to succumb to him.”
“For a 22-year-old, that means a lot.
“Obviously, they appreciate their management and care on 10.
“Not every flying 2halve can do this with the team.”
