PlayStation Network outage reported worldwide
The PlayStation network has been experiencing multiple hours of power outages Friday night.
According to Sony’s PSN status page, account management, gaming and social networking, PlayStation videos, PlayStation Store and PlayStation Direct websites are all dealing with the issue.
Although PlayStation users are able to play offline games, power outages have left online aspects of the game inaccessible (e.g. Fortnite, Call of Dution, Grand Theft Auto and Marvel competitors).
PlayStation said on its support page that it is aware of the problem and strives to resolve it as soon as possible.
according to Digger The problem began before midnight Friday night, with more than 71,000 users reporting downtime to the site.
Some gamers on social media say they are still having problems, and PlayStation’s support for social media channels are flooded with complaints from around the world.
The interruption means Call of Duty participants are unable to participate in its promotional weekend, which offers dual XPs for Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
