Neil Gaiman’s ex-wife Amanda Palmer denies negligence allegations
Amanda Palmer, the ex-wife of British writer Neil Gaiman, denied allegations of negligence and human trafficking by a woman who worked for the former couple.
Earlier this week, the woman filed a civil lawsuit in the United States accusing the former couple of violating laws related to federal human trafficking and complaining about assault, assault and emotional distress to Gaiman and Palmer )negligence.
In a short Instagram post, Palmer, who lives in the U.S., said she would not respond to specific allegations against her, but rather broadly denied them.
Gaiman denied allegations of sexual misconduct by eight women.
The lawsuits alleged that the woman became friends with Palmer when she was 22 years old. She claimed that when the attack began, she had already started working for the couple in New Zealand.
According to the lawsuitshe claimed Gaiman had sexually assaulted her, and Palmer told her that there had been more than a dozen different women complained before.
On Instagram, Palmer, a member of The Dresden Dolls, wrote: “I am very grateful to everyone for continuing to respect my recent privacy requirements for this very difficult time. I have to protect me. My toddler and his rights to privacy.
“With my priority, I will not respond to specific allegations against me, just say I deny them and respond in due time. My heart pays tribute to all survivors.”
Gaiman was reportedly charged by eight women on January 13, four of whom spoke before In a New York Magazine article.
This led to publisher Dark Horse Comics Cancel Gaiman’s upcoming job and The British stage adaptation has been pulled.
Gaiman, 64, denied allegations of sexual misconduct by eight women, saying he “never had involuntary sexual activity with anyone.”
Palmer married Gaiman in 2011 and announced his son’s birth in 2015.
In a joint statement with Gaiman, they revealed that they divorced in 2022.
“After years of marriage, we made difficult decisions,” they said.
“While we will no longer be partners in marriage, we will continue to live in each other’s lives as they work to raise our amazing sons in a loving and compassionate environment.
“We are so grateful to everyone who respects family privacy so we can focus on the new chapters of our son entering life.”
